FRAMING SUGGESTIONS: MY FAVORITE FRAMES

I’ve searched far and wide for a third-party frame source that checks all the boxes required for me to feel confident recommending it to my print customers, and I finally found that in Craig Frames. Online shop? Yes please. Free, 2-day shipping? Yes please. Wood options, gold options, black options, white options? Yes PLEASE! You’ll have a really nice frame for your new art print on your doorstep in a couple days.

I’ve already ordered, used, and lived with an assortment of their frames, so I’ve shortlisted my favorites below. I recognize I’m gushing to the point where you think Craig Frames sponsors me. On the contrary, they don’t know I exist and they couldn’t care less about me.

favorite frames: a short-list

Note:

If you want to frame the piece “full-bleed” without any mat (like in this tutorial), Craig Frames can be purchased ready-made in 5 out of the 6 sizes I have in my shop. This includes 11x14, 12x12, 18x24, 20x20, and 24x32 inches (30x30 inches is not an option at Craig Frames, but it is a ready-made size that can be purchased from various other online retailers).

If you want a mat around your print, you need to buy a frame with larger dimensions than the print’s dimensions, making sure to give at least 2 inches of breathing room on all sides of the print.
